In the first quarter of 2023, the wellness app market in Spain showcased interesting trends on the iOS platform. Here’s a look at the performance of the top 5 wellness apps: Calm, ShutEye®: Sleep Tracker, Sound, Pura Mente: Sleep & Meditation, VOS: Mental Health, AI Therapy, and Daylio Journal - Daily Diary.

Calm saw a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $9.4K in mid-January and ending the quarter around $5.4K. Weekly downloads experienced a notable decline from 5.7K in early January to about 1.1K in early March, with a slight recovery to around 1.9K by the end of March. The app’s weekly active users started at approximately 18.3K, dipped to around 13.9K in early March, and then rose to 16.5K by the end of the quarter.

ShutEye®: Sleep Tracker, Sound had more stable weekly revenue, ranging from $1K to $1.6K. Weekly downloads showed a decline from 3.3K at the start of January to just under 1K at the end of March. Active users also decreased over the quarter, starting at about 4.7K and dropping to around 2.6K.

Pura Mente: Sleep & Meditation displayed a steady weekly revenue trend, with a slight peak at about $974 in late March. Downloads were relatively stable, hovering between 1K and 2K throughout the quarter. Active users increased from around 4.5K at the end of December to approximately 6.4K by the end of March.

VOS: Mental Health, AI Therapy experienced a decline in both weekly revenue and downloads. Revenue dropped from $987 in early January to about $186 by the end of March. Downloads also saw a significant decrease, from 3.5K at the end of December to just 39 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 4.5K and ending at around 1.7K.

Daylio Journal - Daily Diary had a relatively low revenue, peaking at around $650 in mid-February. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of 3.2K in mid-February and a low of 435 in early February. Active users remained stable throughout the quarter, maintaining around 7K.
